How We Help

There are two distinct sides to the human brain, the left and the right side.  As we grow, our personalities develop based on which side of the brain we use more frequently.  Left-brain dominant people tend to view the world in a logical, systematic way, while the right-brain dominant people tend to be more emotional and creative.  While some of the one-sided dominance is genetic, it is also something that has been trained by our past experiences and upbringing.

The brain is like a muscle that needs exercising.  The more we use one side over the other, the stronger and more dominant that side will become.  Unfortunately this leads us to get stuck in ruts and into certain behavioral patterns.  As your left brain controls the right side of your body (and vice-versa) an un-balanced brain can also cause health problems, addictions, eating disorders, depression, weight gain and a host of other problems.

The Solution: Balancing the Brain

Functions of the Brain

How the brain is functioning is reflected in the electrical activity, called brainwaves, of the different regions of the brain. Because of advances in computer technology, we are now able to produce a map of the brain, and the brainwaves being produced, that shows exactly where and how your brain is out of balance.

These brainwaves are composed of different frequencies that let us know which areas of the brain are being utilized more than others.  Reflecting this information back to the brain creates a mirror effect that allows the brain to see its own activity patterns.  This causes the brain to automatically start to correct the imbalances and regulate itself.  It is a little like a person looking in a mirror and seeing that they need to brush their hair.

When the brain is balanced, it is working in an integrated fashion, free of internal conflict between its regions. This means we are firing on all cylinders, with both the feeling and thinking aspects of our brain functioning in harmony.

The result is often an experience whereby we think faster and more effectively, are more intuitive, feel more deeply, and put all our energy into acting creatively instead of reacting defensively.

Brain optimization has also been reported to have helped people achieve noticeable improvement with the following: stress and mood, addictions, sleep dysfunction, social interactions, their ability to focus and capacity to learn, as well as their memory, creativity, athleticism and work performance.
